The day before you are scheduled to teach a class, it's a good idea to reveiw this checklist to make sure that you are prepared. 

• Have I prepared, reflected and prayed about he theme.
• A copy of my lesson plan will be at hand to help me keep my lesson on track.
• My mind is clear about the theme of the lesson and its relationship to the previous lesson.
• I am clear about what I want the children to learn from this lesson and about the attitudes and understandings I hope to build.
• The lesson includes prayer experiences.
• Visuals, props, art supplies, and other material needed for the lesson are collected and arranged in the order they will be needed.  There are extra material for students in case they will be needed. 
• The lesson includes activies that will allow for the children's active participation in their own learning.
• I have connected the lesson to interests, situations, and events that are current in children's lives.
• I am prepared to ask thought questions as well as fact questions.
• I am prepared to share a story of my own faith experience that relates to the theme - a story that will encourage students to share their own experiences.
• I realize that the lesson may not develop as I planned and am ready to make adjustments if need be.
• Any audiovisual equipment I plan to use is in good working condition.
• I have previewed any films, music and videos to make sure they fit the lesson theme and are age appropriate.
