All volunteers that are involved in ministries that serve vulnerable adults are required to complete the Vunerable Adults Training (Virtus). This includes Homebound EMHC Ministers, Friendly Visitors, & Care Ministers. Participants should have attended a Virtus- Protecting God's Children session prior to the Vulnurable Adults Training.
The Vulnurable Adults Training provides great information to empower those working with the elderly and vunerable adults. We live in a world that often takes advantage of vulnurable individuals and as volunteers we need to be aware of how to protect them.
We will offer an in-person training on Monday, February 13 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the parish library. If you are not able to attend the in-person training you can request to complete the training module online (a link and instructions will be emailed to you). Please register below and indicate your preference for in-person or on-line.
Thank you for serving the sick, homebound, and vulnerable of our parish! You are the hands & feet of Christ.
Taking care of our parishioners is of the upmost importance to us. We want to serve, protect and care for those entrusted to us. Here are several ways that you can help us in our mission of taking care of our own.
Communion to the Sick/Homebound - deliver communion to sick/homebound/nursing home residents on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Friendly "Visitors" - parishioners are matched up with a senior and/or homebound individual. At this time we try to make monthly contract by sending cards/small gifts or making a phone call.
Funeral Luncheons - provide and drop off food, set-up, serve and clean up for funeral luncheons.
Meals for the Sick - prepare and deliver meals to parishioners in need due to illness or crisis.
