Honduras Mission Project

Since 2005, St. Michael Parish has been involved with a girls' orphanage and an elderly home in Santa Rosa de Copán, Honduras.  Through this project, our Parish works to give hope for a brighter future by building cross-cultural relationships and providing material support to benefit daily living needs and education.

Honduras Mission Trip - 7 days that will change your LIFE!!!

Have you always had a desire to go on a mission trip at some point in your life?  Are you curious about what a St. Michael Honduras Mission Trip entails?  All parishioners (18 years and older) are invited to consider traveling to Honduras to support our parish mission January 19-26, 2013. Parishioners work, play, pray and eat  side-by-side with the residents of the elderly home and orphanage for girls. No special skills are needed - just an open heart and desire to serve others. The elderly and girls in Honduras are doing well.  We welcome two new nuns to the orphanage: Sister Maria Magdalena and Sister Ana Miriam.

Please Pray For:

Please pray for the health of the girls living in the orphanage and the residents in the elderly home. The school year in Honduras runs from February to November so please pray for focus in school so the girls can finish the final weeks of the academic year strong.

 Next Committee Meeting:

All parishioners are welcome to attend our Honduras Committee montly meetings which take place the first Monday of each month at 7pm in the St. Gabriel room off of Father Porter Hall.  Regardless of whether or not a mission trip is in your future, we would love to have you involved with the Honduras Mission Project.  There are many volunteer opportunities available to support this project within our parish.  Please contact Jill Andersen ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
