As we celebrate Mass, liturgical ministers are called from within the community to serve the entire assembly that gathers for worship. Below, you will find additional information about the various liturgical ministries at St. Michael the Archangel.

Altar Linen Guild - wash and iron the purificators used at Masses during the previous week.
Altar Servers - assist the priest at Mass and carry cross, candles, and incense in procession. Both boys and girls may train as altar servers in 5th grade or later.
Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion - assist the priest and deacon in sharing the Body and Blood of Christ with the faithful at Mass.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to the Sick or Homebound - bring Holy Communion on Sunday morning to homebound parishioners and those Catholics who are in nursing homes and assisted living facilities within our boundaries.
Sacristans - prepare the sanctuary, sacred vessels, ritual books, and other materials needed for a rich and effective liturgical celebration.
Lectors - proclaim the Word of God & offer the Universal Prayer in the absence of a Deacon.
Greeters - pass out liturgy guides & welcome the Presence of Christ that dwells in all who gather for worship.
Ushers - provide hospitality, offer seating assistance, take up the collection, and a ensure a safe enviroment during the celebration.
Welcome Center Host - provide hospitality at the Welcome Center, take requests for low-gluten hosts and hearing devices, sign liturgical ministers in for service, and answer questions as needed.
Divine Dusters - help to maintain the interior of the Church and Adoration Chapel by dusting pews, sanctuary and sacristy. This is a great service opportunity for families!
