The Lord was so incredibly abundant in His gifts on our Into the Deep Retreat Weekend. The waves of mercy, healing, forgiveness and life that have come and will continue to come will be a joy to witness as those on this weekend go forth to lead others closer to Christ.
We wish that we could offer another option for our confirmation retreat as we have in the past years, and we are actively looking at having that as an option next year. With the move to the end of January which doesn't conflict with high school placement test weekend, we also shifted out of NET Ministries' schedules. They map out their teams to optimize their travel and provide for as many parishes and schools as possible and unfortunately this year our calendar didn't match up with their availability. We trust in the resources and retreat options provided by our brothers and sisters in the surrounding JOCO parishes. Below is a list of the available retreats at parishes in the region. We are here to help coordinate a retreat that works best for your teen.
Into the Deep, January 26-28, is the best Confirmation Retreat we offer and you DO NOT want to miss it. This is a 2-night 3-day overnight retreat at Prairie Star Ranch that has time for games, encounters in the Sacraments, small groups, praise and worship, and Eucharistic Adoration. This is a life-changing weekend that you do not want to miss. Registration opens on November 6th.
Inception: “Retreat Within a Retreat”
Goal: Create a brotherhood/sisterhood-like mentorship to strengthen and build the Life Teen SMA Ministry by creating a space for teens to be vulnerable and share their stories through acts of service and shared witnesses to the glory God has done in each of our lives.
We have two things you are going to hear repeated over and over again this weekend...
Servant Leadership & Stories
For those who are confused about this weekend- it’s about being the group of freshmen that is praying for those 8th graders and the Core Team for Into the Deep and doing all the behind-the-scenes work without being seen, developing a culture of servant leadership. Now when we aren’t doing that we will be growing in relationship with each other through our stories as part of the eternal story of salvation.
This group will be led by two upperclassmen and two Life Teen Core Team Members as they will be on a retreat within serving for another retreat.
*Be ready to be flexible and work with the Holy Spirit*
