LIFE TEEN SMA is an outreach of
St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church
that is leading teens closer to Christ
through an authentic community rooted in the Eucharist.
We meet in the Youth Room through the Courtyard doors into the school after the 5 p.m. Sunday Evening Mass. We have dinner provided each week. Bring a friend, bible, journal, and pen. As we continue to seek this call of leading teens closer to Christ, we join in living an extraordinary life by following in the ways of Jesus.
We are in the midst of a unique time in our world and Church. There is so much uncertainty and questions. But, there is still hope. Even with so many doors closing, there are doors opening with new opportunities. Opportunity to grow in relationships with family, friends, and Our Lord. Even opportunities to think outside the box and be creative.
Life Night: Sundays, 6-8 p.m.
Bible Studies: Underclassmen girls, upperclassmen guys, & underclassmen guys: Wednesdays, 8:45-9:45 pm
Upperclassmen girls: Thursdays, 7:00-8:00 pm
Looking to feed a tribe of teens for our Life Nights?
This time of community is important for fellowship and kicking off the Life Teen evening in a welcoming, fun way. Each Life Night begins with dinner as that's where Jesus often encountered those that he was ministering to. These dinners are intentionally as much of a family dinner environment as possible and having a home cooked meal infuses the start of our night with the flavor of our Life Teen community.
Reach out to us weekly with an estimate of how many teens to prepare food for. Generally it will be between 80-100.
We will reimburse up to $200 dollars with receipts turned into Nick Johnson, Allison Bednar, Dominic Susanka, or Marty Simmons. Please note that we are not able to reimburse tax, so you are free to come to the office to pick up a tax exempt form before making any purchases.
We will meet once a month, typically on the first Wednesday of the month from 8:45-9:45 pm in the school multi-purpose room for formation led by Fr. Waldeck. These nights are geared specifically to any High School teen and set up to spark a conversation to further understand, grasp, and engage in the rich history, tradition, and teaching of the Catholic Faith.
Pizza with Padre is the launching pad for the formation element of preparation. Our desire is to always surround our teens with an authentic community rooted in the Eucharist as we are led closer to Christ. Within our Life Teen community, we are overjoyed with the continued witness that the Holy Spirit is still moving, and our God is still alive in His invitation to ALL people to be in communion with the Catholic Church. That witness is seen in those seeking the sacraments of the Catholic Church. The sacraments are efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is dispensed to us (CCC 1131). As we walk with you towards the formation and reception of the sacraments of initiation, wherever you may be, we want this process to be with the full support of our Life Teen and St. Michael the Archangel Parish community.
