Jesus said: “From the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together,
no human being must separate. Mark 10:6-9
We at St. Michael the Archangel Parish welcome and rejoice with you as you prepare to enter Holy Matrimony in the Catholic Church!
The sacrament of marriage is one that brings great blessings to the couple, to their family and friends, and the Church as a whole. St. Michael the Archangel Parish strives to prepare couples for not only their wedding day, but for a lifetime of grace-filled blessings in the relationship that will help lead them to eternal salvation.
Contact the parish at least six months prior to your anticipated wedding date to begin the marriage preparation process. Please keep in mind that we cannot guarantee a wedding date until you have first met with a priest at our parish. For this reason, it is important that you attend this meeting prior to booking a reception venue or making any other arrangements.
Either the bride or groom must be a registered member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish or a child of registered members. If you are interested in joining the parish, please visit the New to St. Michael page on our website.
There is a wedding fee of $1500* to be married at St. Michael the Archangel Church.
There is a marriage preparation fee of $200* which covers the pre-marriage inventory, course materials and a retreat.
*These fees only cover costs incurred by the parish. There can be no cost for the reception of a sacrament. If cost is an obstacle, please share your concerns at the initial meeting with the priest.
